Ich habe mir dieses Buch gekauft, nachdem ich Enchanted Forest, Lost Ocean und Magical Jungle von Johanna Basford schon besitze. In der Hoffnung nun ein etwas anderes Werk zu bekommen, habe ich es mir bestellt. Und ich muss sagen, ich bin vollkommen begeistert.Das Buch ist wie auch ihre anderen Malbücher mit einem schönen Cover gestaltet. Matt creme-weisser Grund mit schwarzen Linien und Goldprägung an einzelnen Stellen. Ein echter Hingucker. Innen ist das Papier ebenfalls wirklich schön cremeweiss, nicht so dunkel wie bei Enchanted Forest aber auch nicht so reinweiss wie bei Lost Ocean. Ich male mit Buntstiften. Dafür ist es super geeignet. Ob sich Fineliner oder Filzstifte durch das dicke Papier durchdrücken, kann ich nicht sagen. Ich würde hier allerdings vorsichtig sein.Die Geschichte ist eine phantasievolle Geschichte über ein Mädchen namens Ivy. Schön zu lesen oder zum Vorlesen (gibt es demnächst ja auch auf deutsch). Der Text beläuft sich durchschnittlich pro Doppelseite auf etwa 1/2 Seite. Mal mehr mal weniger. Es gibt auch ein paar wenige Doppelseite ganz ohne Text. Der Rest der Doppelseite ist mit Bildern und Ornamenten gestaltet. Meine Befürchtung, dass die Geschichte zu kurz käme und hier ein Malbuch mit 2-3 Zeilen zusammenhangslosem Text pro Seite verkauft wird, hat sich nicht bestätigt. Geschichte und Bilder stehen in gleichberechtigtem Verhältnis. Ist das Buch fertig ausgemalt, hält man ein schön illustriertes Bilderbuch in der Hand.Nun kenne ich von Johanna Basford wie gesagt die oben genannten Bücher und bin froh, dass die Bilder dieses mal abwechslungsreichere Inhalte haben. Natürlich sehen wir hier auch wieder ihre bereits wohlbekannten Blumen, Blätter und Ranken. Aber eben auch mal ganz andere Motive wie z.B. die wunderschöne Darstellung eines Zimmers mit Schreibtisch und Regalen.Ich habe es also behalten und freue mich aufs Ausmalen.
das Buch ist nicht nur zum ausmalen, sondern erzählt auch eine nette Geschichte. Da das ausmalen länger dauert, habe ich angefangen, zu malen, dann gelesen und hatte die Geschichte schon längst fertig und erst ein paar Seiten fertig. Die Geschichte brachte Leben in die Motive zum ausmalen und regte die Fantasie an.
I find Johanna Basford incredibly talented and have enjoyed colouring her previous titles. This one is quite different and has thicker outlines, less details and includes a story.
Sehr schoenes Malbuch, wie auch die anderen Werke von Johanna Basford findet man auch hier wieder viele schoene detailreiche Zeichnngen.
Das Buch ist wirklich wunderschön gestaltet. Auch das Papier ist toll zum Malen.Leider ist der Zustand des Produkts nicht einwandfrei. Der Rücken ist leider unten schon ein wenig abgenutzt. Das finde ich sehr schade für ein neu bestelltes Produkt.

Das Buch ist zwar wieder schön gestaltet, doch mich hat der Text gestört. Darum ging das Buch zurück. Aber das ist ja Geschmackssache.
A very nice coloring book. Because of the rumors I was a little affraid that it was a misprint but I've received a perfect book. Nothing wrong with the paper quality and no errors in the print. I am very happy with it.
